Inter striker Edin Dzeko was disappointing in the 3-1 victory over Udinese in Serie A yesterday evening, as the Bosnian made little impact.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the former Roma striker let the match pass him by at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and did not contribute much, whilst he lacked inspiration before being substituted in the second half.

Dzeko wasted an excellent chance at 1-1 by firing straight at Udinese goalkeeper Marco Silvestri, and he was given a 5.5 in the newspaper’s player ratings.

However, fellow striker Romelu Lukaku was praised for showing great determination, particularly after he saw a first half penalty saved.

With his tame strike easily stopped, the Belgian was afforded another chance after encroachment by an Udinese player, and he made no mistake the second time.

Lukaku has struggled for form and fitness but Tuttosport argued that he was fighting for every ball and showed desire to prove himself on the pitch, as he earned a 6.5.
