Roma-owned Spezia loanee Eldor Shomurodov could start in attack for the Ligurians alongside striker Mbala Nzola in tomorrow evening’s Serie A match against Inter.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 27-year-old is a serious candidate to start tomorrow, whilst there will be some necessary changes at the back due to injury and suspensions.
Nzola is virtually guaranteed to start for Spezia, as the team’s top scorer, but coach Leonardo Semplici could spring a bit of a surprise by starting Shomurodov alongside him in a strike partnership.
The Uzbek international joined Spezia on loan from Roma during the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, in defense the suspension of Arkadiusz Reca and the injury to Emil Holm mean that Semplici could have to move things around a bit, possibly starting Dimitrios Nikolaou or Mattia Caldar on the left.
Meanwhile, Chelsea-owned defender Ethan Ampadu is an injury doubt for tomorrow’s match.
