Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is proud of having reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League with the Nerazzurri, and wants to keep giving everything he can to get more important results.

Speaking to InterTV following the Nerazzurri’s goalless draw against Porto, via FCInterNews, the 29-year-old expressed the feeling that Inter are the club of his heart, and that this is part of what motivates him in matches like this evening’s.

Calhanoglu has only been an Inter player for less than two seasons, but he has already shown that he feels completely comfortable at the club after having made the switch from AC Milan in the summer of 2021.

The Turk has now helped the Nerazzurri to reach the quarterfinals of Europe’s top competition, having already won the Coppa Italia last season and the Supercoppa Italiana in each of his two seasons at the club so far.

During his time as an Inter player, Calhanoglu has shown how much he can contribute, and he wants to keep doing so.

“I always want to give my best, that’s what the coach asks from me,” he said.

“I’m happy that I keep working and improving,” he continued.

“There’s always work to be done and improvement to be made, I want to give everything for this club that I hold deep in my heart,” he added.

“Now we have a while to celebrate this achievement, and then we immediately shift our focus to Juventus,” the midfielder added, referring to Sunday’s Serie A clash.
