Current Chelsea-owned and former Inter midfielder Cesare Casadei feels that there are significant differences between playing in England compared to when he was in Italy with the Nerazzurri.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview published in today’s print edition, via FCInterNews, the 20-year-old gave his thoughts on what the transition following his move to Stamford Bridge has entailed, and also gave his thoughts on what his current and former club meeting in the Champions League final would be like.

Casadei made the switch from Inter to Chelsea last summer, with the midfielder having come through the youth ranks at the Nerazzurri but having been cashed in on as he was a long-term target for the Blues who were more than happy to sign the player for a significant fee.

Whilst the 20-year-old has not made a place for himself in the Blues’ first team in his first campaign at the club, he is now playing on loan with Reading in the Championship.

“It’s still football, but there’s a lot of adapting that you have to do,” he explained.

Casadei noted that “Now I’m on loan at Reading, and a lot of things are done differently.”

“There’s a very high intensity, and you do a lot of training with the ball.”

Also asked about the possibility of Inter and Chelsea meeting in the final of the Champions League, something which could still be on the cards, the 20-year-old predicted that “It would be a brilliant match between two great teams.”
