The asking price for Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries has fallen significantly over the past few months based on his lack of form.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri’s ambitious €50-60 million valuation of the 26-year-old following his exploits at the World Cup has now realistically been cut in half.

In January, reports suggested that Inter were ready to demand €50-60 million for Dumfries, who had starred for the Dutch national team at the World Cup in Qatar.

The likes of Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United were linked with moves.

However, in the meantime Chelsea look to have made their choice on the right flank by moving for Lyon’s Malo Gusto, whilst United’s interest has hardly stepped up.

Dumfries stayed at Inter in January, and his form during the period has been anything but positive.

Accordingly, if Inter are to decide to cash in on the former PSV man this summer, it will have to be for a much lower fee than they had perhaps been hoping for not long ago.
