Antonio Conte would wait to see whether the coaching jobs at Paris Saint-Germain or Atletico Madrid open up before he considers a return to Inter or Serie A.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the 53-year-old is eyeing up a possible move to either Ligue 1 or La Liga before he considers returning to Serie A.

Conte has been reported to be one of Inter’s main targets to appoint as coach in the event that they are to sack Inzaghi.

According to Sky, it is indeed the case that the former Juventus, Chelsea, and Italy boss is one of the main names on the Nerazzurri’s radar if they were to go in search of a new coach, although for now they are backing Inzaghi.

The Nerazzurri would be interested in bringing Conte back 24 months after his acrimonious exit immediately after the end of the 2020-21 season, even if it would necessarily mean patching up the rift from that departure.

However, even if Inzaghi were to be sacked at the end of the season, there is no guarantee that Inter would be able to land Conte.

Having had his departure from Spurs confirmed during the international break, the 53-year-old is weighing up his option, and a mooted return to Serie A is not the only consideration for him, as a break from coaching is also possible.

According to Sky, Conte is also thinking about the possibility of PSG or Atletico as his next club.

The bench could be open at Atletico if Diego Simeone is to step down after more than a decade in charge as has widely reported, whilst the Argentine has also been linked with a move to Inter as the managerial merry-go-round spins.

Additionally, there looks to be a good chance of PSG will be searching for a new coach if they are to sack Christophe Galtier in reaction to another disappointing season in the Champions League, whilst the Parisians still haven’t run away with the Ligue 1 title.

According to Sky, both of the pair are in Conte’s mind as he weighs up his future, and there is hardly a guarantee that Inter would be able to appoint the 53-year-old.
