The punishments have been decided on in the aftermath of Tuesday evening’s chaotic end to a Coppa Italia semifinal first leg match against Inter and Juventus.

The Sporting Justice in Italy has handed out all of the punishments in an official statement, as reported by FCInterNews, which sees Inter striker Romelu Lukaku and captain Samir Handanovic handed one-match bans, whilst Juventus wingback Juan Cuadrado receives a three-match ban.

The authorities have had quite a lot to look over in assessing the aftermath of Tuesday’s chaotic Coppa Italia semifinal first leg.

Apart from the scandalous racist abuse that was hurled at Inter striker Lukaku by some Bianconeri fans, there was a lengthy brawl between both sets of players that broke out between both sets of players after the Belgian was controversially sent off.

First of all, there is the decision on Inter striker Lukaku, who has been handed a one-match ban in the Coppa Italia.

The 29-year-old will miss the second leg of the semifinal tie after having been shown two yellow cards on Tuesday evening, one for a late challenge on Juventus defender Federico Gatti and then the second for his celebrations of a late penalty.

There will be no fine handed out to Lukaku.

It has been reported that Inter do not plan to appeal the Belgian’s one-match suspension.

Meanwhile, Nerazzurri captain Handanovic will be given a one-match ban that will see him miss the second leg as well, in addition to receiving a €10,000 fine.

The Slovenian receives this punishment for his part in an altercation with Juventus wingback Cuadrado, who will receive the same fine but will be banned for three matches rather than just the one, after he was seen punching the Inter captain.

Lastly, Inter Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin receives a €20,000 suspension after he attempted to come onto the pitch to approach referee Davide Massa, shouting angry words at the official.
