Inter and RB Leipzig are both keen to sign Arsenal-owned striker Folarin Balogun, who is currently on loan with Reims in Ligue 1.

This according to German broadcaster Sky Sports Deutschland, via FCInterNews, who report that the 21-year-old has emerged on the Nerazzurri’s radar, whilst Leipzig are also serious about trying to sign him, and that the price tag for him could be at least €40 million.

Balogun came through Arsenal’s academy over the past few years, but this season has really been his breakout campaign playing on loan in Ligue 1.

The 21-year-old, who has represented England at youth team level, has scored eighteen goals for the French side in 29 league appearances, and nineteen in 31 appearances across all competitions.

This has meant that the interest in his signature has skyrocketed over the past few months.

Balogun has already been linked with both Inter and their city rivals AC Milan in Italian media, and the Nerazzurri’s interest in signing the Arsenal-owned sensation is confirmed by Sky Deutschland.

Given that the situations of all of Romelu Lukaku, Joaquin Correa, and Edin Dzeko are uncertain past the end of the current season, whilst even Lautaro Martinez is the subject of much interest from top European clubs, the Nerazzurri are looking around for attacking targets.

Accordingly, young striker Balogun could be seen as a possible target to add quality for both the present and the future in attacking areas.

Meanwhile, Sky Deutschalnd report, Leipzig would also be very keen on the Arsenal-owned striker’s signature, and are ready to move for him this summer.

Given Balogun’s form for Reims, Sky Deutschland report that the Gunners will demand no less than €40 million for his signature.

Whilst Balogun has represented England at up to Under-21 level, he was born in the United States, and so would also be eligible to represent the US national side considering he’s never been capped by the Three Lions at senior level.
