Inter and Barcelona discussed a number of potential player transfers in talks held between their respective Sporting Directors on Tuesday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri asked about the availability of Alex Balde and Andreas Christensen, whilst the Blaugranas are keen on Denzel Dumfries.

Whilst one of the main items on the agenda in talks between Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio and his Barcelona counterpart Mateu Alemany was the continuation of Franck Kessie-Marcelo Brozovic swap talks, the midfielders were far from the only names under discussion.

Barcelona are looking for accommodations for the likes of Jordi Alba and Samuel Umtiti for next season, and both situations were brought up with Inter.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri also enquired about the availability of both Balde and Christensen.

24-year-old Uruguayan international Ronald Araujo was also asked about, but in this case Barcelona made perfectly clear that there would be no chance that the defender leaves during the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, from Barcelona’s perspective, the La Liga giants made enquiries regarding the availability of wingback Denzel Dumfries.

The 26-year-old former PSV wingback is seen as a major target by the Blaugranas, who have identified their right flank as a major area in the squad that will need to be improved on during the summer.

Meanwhile, the Corriere also provides confirmation that Tottenham Hotspur wingback Ivan Perisic wants to return to the Nerazzurri.

Tuttosport had also reported that the 34-year-old is pushing to come back to the San Siro just one season after he left on a free transfer, and according to the Corriere he has indeed been in contact to try and make the move happen this summer.

Perisic spent seven seasons with Inter between 2015 and 2022, one of which was out on loan at Bayern Munich in the 2019-20 campaign.
