Barcelona are weighing up possible moves for two of Inter’s Champions League heroes from this season, in the form of goalkeeper Andre Onana and wingback Denzel Dumfries.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that Onana is seen as an ideal replacement if Marc-Andre ter Stegen were to leave, whilst Dumfries is targeted as a right-sided reinforcement.

Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio met with his Barcelona counterpart Mateu Alemany yesterday, and there was interest expressed in players in both directions.

One of the players who the Blaugranas enquired about was keeper Onana, who would be seen as the ideal candidate to replace ter Stegen were the German to leave in the summer.

Whilst it is far from obvious that former Borussia Monchengladbach keeper ter Stegen would be on his way, the sense is that Barcelona would be willing to listen to offers.

Should the German be on his way, Onana is seen by the Blaugranas as having the right style of play to come in and replace him right away.

Moreover, the 27-year-old Cameroonian international has extensive experience with Barcelona at the youth team level before he joined Ajax, and in this sense the La Liga giants hope that it could be a factor that allows them to bring him back to the Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, wingback Dumfries is another player who the Blaugranas asked about the availability of for this summer.

The 26-year-old former PSV man has been persistently linked with a departure from the Nerazzurri, and whilst he is not likely to be sold in a massive money deal as the club had been hoping after his form at the World Cup, he very much could still leave.

According to Tuttosport, Barcelona are ready to sign a right wingback in the summer, and their interest in Dumfries could accelerate over the coming weeks.
