Inter and Roma are both keen to sign Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan N’Dicka on a free transfer during the summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Giallorossi have already held meetings with the 23-year-old’s representatives, whilst Inter, Barcelona, and teams in the Premier League are also keen.

It is clear that N’Dicka will leave Eintracht at the end of the season when his current deal with last season’s Europa League winners runs out.

Less clear at the moment is where the Frenchman will go next season.

Barcelona are widely reported to be keen on signing N’Dicka, but they could struggle to do so due to their struggles to comply with La Liga spending regulations.

Meanwhile, teams in the Premier League are also eyeing up the 23-year-old.

However, there is also major interest in signing N’Dicka from Serie A, and according to the Corriere it could be Inter and Roma who really go head-to-head.

The Giallorossi look to be making free transfers a major part of their summer transfer strategy, with Lyon’s Houssem Aouar one player they have lined up to reinforce in midfield.

However, the capital club may not stop there, as they are also keen to add N’Dicka to Jose Mourinho’s ranks for next season.

According to the Corriere, there have already been meetings held between Roma Sporting Director Tiago Pinto and N’Dicka’s representatives.

Meanwhile, Inter are lining the Frenchman up as a possible replacement for Milan Skriniar for when the Slovakian leaves to join Paris Saint-Germain.

N’Dicka has won plaudits for his performances for Eintracht, particularly under the coaching of Oliver Glasner, and he has shown himself to be adept at playing in a back three system.

Moreover, the 23-year-old has a fairly similar style of play to Skriniar, in that both are very capable in one-on-one defending and man-marking, and strong in the tackle, particularly on the ground.

N’Dicka has made a total of 176 appearances in all competitions for Eintracht since joining in the Bundesliga club 2018, helping them to win the Europa League last season.
