Paris Saint-Germain are in talks with both Inter and with the representatives of midfielder Marcelo Brozovic regarding the possibility of a summer transfer for the 30-year-old Croatian international.

This according to ESPN France journalist Juan Torres, who reported in a tweet that the Parisians see Brozovic as a serious target in midfield and have already begun the process of trying to sign him.

PSG are already set to sign one Inter player in the summer, in the form of defender Milan Skriniar who they will sign on a free transfer when his current contract with the Nerazzurri expires at the end of June.

However, the French champions may not stop there.

According to ESPN France reporter Torres, the Parisians are interested in signing Brozovic, and have already made contact with Inter to ask for information, whilst they have also sounded out the possibility of a move with the Croat’s agent.

Brozovic has been strongly linked with a move away from Inter for the summer, despite the fact that it was only twelve months ago that he signed a contract extension, at a point where he looked to be one of the crucial players in the Nerazzurri’s squad.

A key part of the reason why the 30-year-old is linked with a move away is that there has been a rift forming between he and his current club, particularly regarding his management of two long-term muscle injuries.

Moreover, there is the fact that Hakan Calhanoglu has emerged as a regular starter in Brozovic’s position over the course of the season, whilst Kristjan Asllani is also seen as a long-term option in deep-lying midfield.

Barcelona have been reported to have an interest in Brozovic, with reports suggesting that the Croat could be involved in a player swap with former AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

However, it could be PSG who look to jump in front of the Blaugranas in the queue to sign the Nerazzurri midfielder.

Torres reports that “A few days ago I was the first to mention the interest of PSG in signing Macerlo Brozovic.”

“Today, I can confirm that the contacts between the three parties involved (PSG, Inter, and the player’s agents) are ongoing and that the discussions are moving along.”
