Inter Milan are still very interested in former AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie who Barcelona could decide to cash in on this summer.

This according to Spanish media outlet Relevo, as reported via Italian Inter Milan news-site FcInterNews, who report that Kessie’s future is very much up in the air.

Kessie, who spent seven years in Italy with Atalanta, Cesena and AC Milan, wants to stay at the club and has no desire to leave but is aware that Barcelona could be tempted to cash in on him this summer.

The player’s season with Barcelona has been somewhat of a roller coaster beginning with little minutes on the pitch before playing consistently and doing so really well over February and March, especially in the Cope Del Rey againsy Real Madrid and Sevilla.

At the time stories emerged stating that Barcelona were happy with the player and had no intentions of selling him in the summer.

Now, things seem to have changed once more, with the player only having clocked up 54 minutes in the last three matches, prompting Relevo to claim that Barcelona may have reconsidered once more.

Inter Milan Long Time Admirers Of Franck Kessie

The former AC Milan midfielder signed for Barcelona last summer on a free transfer after helping the Rossoneri clinch their first Serie A title in eleven years.

However, life at Camp Nou didn’t get off to the best of starts with coach Xavi giving him limited playing time in the beginning of the season prompting rumors of a January departure to Inter to flourish.

Then, rumors stated that the Nerazzurri would be open to a Franck Kessie – Marcelo Brozovic swap deal but only if Barcelona sweetened the deal with cash on top.

However, the player’s agency sharply and unequivocally denied these links at the time branding them as fabrications with Barcelona manager Xavi publicly stating that Kessie was an important member of his Barcelona squad.
