Lautaro Martinez is not for sale Inter Milan have made clear, slamming door shut in the faces of Premier League outfits Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported via Italian based Inter news outlet FcInterNews.

According to the report, the Nerazzurri have made it abundantly clear that the Argentina FIFA World Cup Champion from Qatar 2022, is not for sale at any price.

Inter consider Lautaro Martinez to be an integral part of the club’s future plans, which includes the high possibility that he would be made the club’s new permanent captain, the report continues.

In fact, the Nerazzurri have planned for sales of other players and therefore when the call came from an intermediary Inter made it clear that they weren’t even prepared to sit down to listen to the offer.

This follows British reports yesterday claiming that Inter had opened a door to selling Lautaro Martinez for £70 million.

However, that door, if ever open at all, has now firmly been slammed shut in the faces of both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Not A Question Of Money

Lautaro Martinez is worth at least €80 million, the Gazzetta continues, however the issue isn’t about money as Inter Milan want to build the future sporting project around him.

Recent reports in Italy have suggested that the Nerazzurri could be prepared to part ways with Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic as well as Cameroon goalkeeper André Onana.

However, in both of those cases it is reported that Inter will only accept cash and no players in exchange, be they on loan or as part payment.

As things stand right no Inter will only allow them to leave if the Nerazzurri’s evaluation of them is met, otherwise both players will stay, having recently signed contracts with the club.
