Robin Gosens and Danilo D’Ambrosio have recovered from injury and will start tonight’s Champions League semifinal first leg on the bench when Inter Milan play AC Milan at the San Siro.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia reporter Marco Barzaghi live on air moments ago, as reported via Milan based Inter Milan news-site FcInter1908.
According to the report, Robin Gosens has fully recovered from the dislocated shoulder injury he sustained in the 3-1 win in the Serie A against Lazio about 10 days ago starting the match on the bench.
The same applies for veteran Italian defender Danilo D’Ambrosio who had reportedly picked up a knock that kept him out of the squad this last weekend when Inter defeated Roma away by 2-0.
Robin Gosens & Danilo D’Ambrosio To Start On The Bench
The former Torino defender is fully fit and will also start the match tonight’s Champions League semifinal first leg on the bench just like the German former Atalanta wingback.
This means that the only Inter Milan player not available for tonight’s match due to injury is Slovak international defender Milan Skriniar, who recently underwent surgery on his back.
With regards to the starting lineup, the only doubts in Simone Inzgahi’s mind lay in central midfield as to which two midfielder to start next to Nicolo Barella.
Recent reports claim that the former Inter Milan coach is yet to decide on which two out of Marcelo Brozovic, Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to field in tonight’s clash.
AC Milan host Inter Milan in the first leg of the Semifinal of the Champions League tonight, Wednesday the 10th of May, with kick-off scheduled at 21.00 CET.
The return leg is played less than a week later on the 16th of May with Inter as the home team, with kick-off scheduled for 21.00 CET.
