Legendary former Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero feels the squad of Inter Milan squad is the strongest in Serie A.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, Del Piero gave his thoughts on the Nerazzurri’s squad quality.
The quality of entire squads has played a major factor in Serie A this season.
Whilst plenty of teams can boast strong starting elevens, the presence of top-class options waiting in the wings has also played a big role.
This is the case both in terms of substitutions and squad rotations from match to match.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has not been afraid to turn to his bench in-game or change the team up between fixtures.
The Nerazzurri boss is expected to make several changes to the team for tomorrow’s Serie A clash with Sassuolo.
Moreover, Inzaghi has frequently gotten match-changing impacts from players off the bench.
This is especially true given the fact that coaches can now use five substitutions.
All of this is conditioned by the quality of Inter’s squad, particularly with Marcelo Brozovic and Romelu Lukaku fit.

Of the Nerazzurri’s midfield trio of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Nicolo Barella, and Hakan Calhanoglu, the Bianconeri legend said that “They’re excellent players technically and have great character.”
“I’ve been saying for two or three years that Inter have the strongest squad in the league, and I keep saying it,” he went on.
“With three players with their quality and intensity you can play any way, because they give you quantity and quality,” he added.
“They can only really be gotten at with long balls and set pieces,” Del Piero suggested, “thanks to their physicality and quality.”
“Otherwise, they cover so many kilometers and are great in possession.”
