Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is on the radar of clubs in the Premier League but could still stay with the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInter1908. According to the report, the balance seems to have shifted in terms of Inzaghi’s situation at Inter in recent weeks.

For long parts of the season the question has been whether or not Inter will keep the 47-year-old.  However, the coach has done well to steer the team out of trouble since then.

Now, Inzaghi’s Inter have clawed back their spot in the top four of the Serie A table. Moreover, there is the Coppa Italia final to come, and the Nerazzurri have one foot in the Champions League table.

Inter Simone Inzaghi Could Be Tempted By The Premier League

According to La Repubblica, the shoe is now on the other foot in Inzaghi’s relationship with Inter. Now, it is the Nerazzurri who want to keep hold of the former Lazio coach.

In the last few days, Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta has said as much. As for Inzaghi himself, the coach could be assessing his options.

The newspaper notes that the work that Inzaghi has been doing hasn’t gone unnoticed by Premier League teams. Accordingly, it may not be too long before offers arrive from the English top flight.

Especially if he leads Inter to the final of the Champions League

Now, Inter could be forced to fend off big money offers from clubs in England to keep a coach, who just last month looked destined to be sacked.

Inter Coach Still Likely To Stay On

According to La Repubblica, however, the time is not yet right for Inzaghi to move to the Premier League. The newspaper reports that the 47-year-old wants to stay at Inter.

At the moment, he is happy with his work at the Nerazzurri. Moreover, there is the question of a potential language barrier to consider.

As La Repubblica notes, the Italian-speaking Inzaghi is not yet very proficient in English. Accordingly, the coach is currently comfortable calling Inter his home.

All signs point to Inzaghi remaining Nerazzurri coach next season, at least at the moment.

However, for the future there is great esteem of Inzaghi from English teams. It is not at all improbable that the coach could be plying his trade in the Premier League in the future.
