Inter Milan are set to start with the same lineup in tomorrow’s Champions League semifinal second leg match against AC Milan as they had done in the first leg.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The Gazzetta anticipate that Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will not make any changes to the team that won 2-0 last Wednesday.

Over the weekend, Inzaghi massively rotated his team. Eight changes were made in total to the team that had faced off against the Rossoneri in midweek for Saturday’s win over Sassuolo.

However, the coach will go right back to trusting his first-choice eleven in the Champions League.

According to the Gazzetta, the 47-year-old plans to play exactly the same team as from the first leg. The lineup that worked for Inter in the first leg is the one that Inzaghi will want to get the same result in the second.

Simone Inzaghi Backs Inter Milan XI To Repeat The Trick Vs AC Milan

Inzaghi got his team selection right in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal against Milan. Particularly in the first leg, the Nerazzurri were really in the ascendancy.

A lot of this was down to the presence of ex-Roma duo Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the team.

Neither of the pair had looked certain to start that match. Romelu Lukaku and Marcelo Brozovic had provided Dzeko and Mkhitaryan with competition in attack and midfield respectively.

However, the Bosnian and the Armenian scored Inter’s two goals, in addition to playing very well overall.

Despite this, there has been some speculation that Inzaghi could change things up. Romelu Lukaku was MOTM in a 4-2 win over Sassuolo over the weekend. Meanwhile, Brozovic is a player whose quality is never in question.

Nevertheless, the Gazzetta reports, Inzaghi will stick with Dzeko and Mkhitaryan, and with the rest of his starting eleven.
