The entourage of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is pushing to secure a loan move from Chelsea to Inter Milan next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908.

At the moment, the future of Lukaku is very much up in the air.

The Belgian is currently an Inter player, but only on loan. Lukaku is still under contract with Chelsea, and will be a Blues player once again when his loan deal is up.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta has confirmed that Lukaku wants to stay. However, the executive also made clear that the plan is for the 30-year-old to go back to Chelsea when his loan deal expires.

This does not mean that Lukaku won’t be back at Inter next season. However, what appears clear is that the Nerazzurri and Chelsea will have to work out a new loan deal if the striker is to keep plying his trade at the San Siro beyond the end of the current campaign.

Romelu Lukaku Putting Pressure On Chelsea To Sanction Inter Stay

According to the Gazzetta, Lukaku and his entourage are already at work pushing to make sure he stays at Inter.

Last summer, the Belgian and his lawyer Sebastien Ledure had convinced Chelsea to allow him to return to the Nerazzurri on loan. This time around, they will have to do so again.

It is possible Chelsea will want Lukaku back, particularly if incoming coach Mauricio Pochettino is a fan.

Moreover, it’s unclear whether or not the Blues would be willing to agree a new loan deal with Inter.

However, the player’s will is clear. Lukaku and is entourage are working to convince Chelsea just as they did last summer.

Lukaku Also Willing To Accept Wage Cut To Stay At Inter Milan

The Gazzetta also report that Lukaku would be willing to accept a wage cut in order to stay at Inter.

The Nerazzurri would want the Belgian back on lower wages than he currently earns. Lukaku already agreed to far lower wages than his €12 million net per season wages from Chelsea to make the switch last summer.

According to the Gazzetta, however, the striker is willing to accept an even bigger wage cut.
