Inter Milan are set to hand young attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni a new multi-year contract.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are close to offering the 18-year-old Argentine international a new deal to keep him at the club for the foreseeable.

Carboni is considered one of the brightest talents in Inter’s youth system

The Nerazzurri beat out fierce competition to sign the Argentine from Catania in 2020. The likes of European giants Juventus and Liverpool were also keen on Carboni.

Whilst Carboni’s experiences in senior football have been limited, he has already shown clear signs of why Inter signed him.

Last season, the teenager helped Inter’s Primavera team to win the Under-19 Scudetto. This time around, Carboni has been a part of Inter’s senior team setup. Whilst he has found playing time hard to come by for the senior team, he has made appearances, including against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Inter Milan Have Confidence in Valentin Carboni For The Future

In the meantime, Carboni has continued to shine for the Primavera side as well.

It is seen as only a matter of time before the Argentine international really starts to kick on and make his mark within the senior game. For their part, Inter do not want to miss out.

The Nerazzurri are keen to secure Carboni’s future on a new deal. At the moment, the Argentine is not at Inter on a long-term professional contract.

However, Inter are set to change that soon, FCIN reports. According to the outlet, the Nerazzurri will offer Carboni a new multi-year deal.

Carboni Headed To Under-20 World Cup With Argentina

Inter and their Primavera team will have to do without Carboni for the end of the season.

This is because the 18-year-old will be at the Under-20 World Cup with Argentina.

Carboni’s Inter Primavera teammates Alessandro Fontanarosa, Mattia Zanotti, and Francesco Pio Esposito will be at the tournament with italy.
