Man City are the strongest team in the world in the view of former Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni, but he still believes that his old team the Nerazzurri have a chance in the Champions League final.

Speaking to Italian news service ANSA, via FCInterNews, the ex-coach gave his thoughts ahead of the Champions League final.

Inter will know that they face perhaps the biggest challenge of their season on June 10.

Awaiting them at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul are Manchester City. The English side showed just how unplayable they can be with their 4-0 thrashing of Real Madrid in the semifinal second leg.

Morever, City have won four of the last five Premier League titles. Pep Guardiola’s men are also on the verge of clinching their fifth in six.

All this is a clear testament to the Cityzens’ consistency. The Premier League giants have few weaknesses and are stacked with physical and technical quality. Moreover, Guardiola’s tactical vision seems to give City an edge that at times seems unassailable.

Stramaccioni Feels Man City Not Unbeatable For Inter Milan

Former Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni still backs his old side, however.

“Today, City are the best team in the world in terms of their quality and organization,” Stramaccioni argued.

“But a final is a final, and the gaps become narrower,” he continued. “I believe, and I believe a lot. ”

“I wouldn’t say that City suffer against teams that play a back three, but they do get ‘annoyed,'” Stramaccioni noted. “During the period where they’ve overtaken Arsenal, they’ve only lost to two teams, and both play back three defenses – Tottenham and Brentford.”

“Not to mention, go look at the lineup Chelsea played in the 2021 Champions League final,” the former coach noted.

Another tactical point that Stramaccioni emphasized was how Inter’s strike pair can hurt City.

“There’s also the potential for a two versus two situation when City inevitably leave some space at the back defensively,” he suggested.
