Inter Milan and Brighton and Hove Albion are both keen to sign Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who confirm Inter CEO Beppe Marotta’s admission that the Nerazzurri consider the 23-year-old a target, but also note that a slew of other top Italian clubs as well as Brighton are tracking him.

Earlier today, Inter CEO Marotta gave an interview where he confirmed that Frattesi is on the Nerazzurri’s radar.

The executive made no effort to hide that Inter are admirers of the Neroverdi midfielder, as well as Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini.

According to FCIN, there is truth behind Marotta’s words. The Italian outlet report that the Nerazzurri CEO is hardly bluffing.

FCIN report that Inter consider Frattesi a potential target in midfield for the summer transfer window.

With Roberto Gagliardini set to depart, and potentially also Marcelo Brozovic, Inter will make at least one midfield signing this summer. Frattesi would represent an option to add young Italian talent to build the squad around for the future.

Not Just Inter – Brighton Also Keen On Davide Frattesi

Inter would not be without rivals for Frattesi’s signature.

According to FCIN, the 23-year-old is a target for a number of top sides in Serie A.

Roma and Juventus have both been linked with an interest in Frattesi at times. According to FCIN, these clubs’ interest is real, although they have taken a step back recently.

Meanwhile, Lazio are also interested in Frattesi. FCIN report that the Biancocelesti could move for the 23-year-old if they were to complete a sale of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

There is also interest from the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur had been linked, although according to FCIN the departure of Fabio Paratici has cooled the Londoners’ interest.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa had sent scouts to watch Frattesi. However, their interest came to nothing more than this.

According to FCIN, however, the Premier League side most serious about signing Frattesi are Brighton. Roberto De Zerbi’s side look set to sell Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool.

Given that the fee for Mac Allister is set to be around €70 million, the Seagulls will be flush with cash to sign a replacement.

Sassuolo want no less than €40 million for Frattesi. This would be tough for Inter, although they could look to agree a cash-plus-player deal.

Meanwhile, FCIN report that the player concerned prefers a move to a big Serie A team rather than the Premier League.
