Inter Milan are set to hold talks with Empoli regarding possible transfers of replacements for Andre Onana and Robin Gosens.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will meet with the Tuscans in the next couple weeks to discuss goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and wingback Fabiano Parisi.

Inter are interested in a couple of Empoli players.

First there is goalkeeper Vicario – the 26-year-old is lined up as the first-choice target to replace Onana should the Chelsea target leave during the summer transfer window.

The Nerazzurri do not want to be caught cold in the event of a big offer coming in for Onana.

Should the Cameroonian be sold, Inter will aim to move quickly to sign a replacement.

For this reason, the Gazzetta report, the Nerazzurri are already laying the groundwork for a move for Vicario.

Inter will meet with Empoli between the Coppa Italia and Champions League finals to discuss exactly this.

Inter Targeting Empoli Stars To Replace Onana – And Gosens

However, Vicario is not the only Empoli player who’s on Inter’s radar.

The Gazzetta report that wingback Fabiano Parisi will also be part of the Nerazzurri’s upcoming meeting with Empoli.

The wingback’s agent has already confirmed that this will almost certainly be his final season with Empoli.

According to the Gazzetta, Parisi is one of Inter’s main targets to replace Robin Gosens in the event that the German departs.

This season, Gosens has not been first-choice in Inter’s starting eleven. The emergence of Federico Dimarco as the starter in the left-wingback role has kept the ex-Atalanta man out.

Whilst Gosens has slowly clawed back more playing time, he could well leave this summer.

Last summer, Bayer Leverkusen had looked keen to sign Gosens.

According to the Gazzetta, teams in the Bundesliga remain interested in the 28-year-old’s signature. All of Borussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg, and Eintracht Frankfurt have been linked in the past.
