Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez is happy to have continued winning trophies with the Nerazzurri with another Coppa Italia.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset after winning the trophy against Fiorentina this evening, via FCInterNews, the 25-year-old gave his thoughts on what winning the competition means for him and for the Nerazzurri.

Inter have won their second piece of silverware this season.

The Nerazzurri had already won the Supercoppa Italiana against AC Milan earlier in the campaign. Now, like last season, they have won both of Italy’s domestic cups.

These four trophies follow the Serie A title win in the 2020-21 season.

For striker Lautaro Martinez, this has been a very successful period, also on a personal level. The Argentine won the FIFA World Cup with Argentina in December.

Moreover, the 25-year-old has played a key role for his club winning trophies. Lautaro Martinez first-half brace which allowed the Nerazzurri to recover from the setback of a very early Viola goal and lift the trophy.

Lautaro Martinez: Want To Keep Winning Titles With Inter Milan

There is still one more trophy on offer for Inter before the season is done.

It is perhaps the biggest one of the lot. The Nerazzurri will face Manchester City in the final of the Champions League in Istanbul on June 10. It certainly won’t be easy.

However, as Martinez and his teammates have been proving throughout the season, and over the past few seasons, they can never be ruled out of the hunt for trophies.

Reacting to the win over Fiorentina, Martinez said that “This is what football is, winning. We started the match badly, but then we did well and managed to come back and turn it around.”

“We’re happy to keep the cup in Milan,” the striker added. “I want to continue like this, giving my contribution to the team and keep winning.”
