Inter Milan are targeting young Arsenal owned striker Folarin Balogun as a replacement for Joaquin Correa this summer.
This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that with Correa set to depart during the summer, the Nerazzurri are keen on 21-year-old USA international Balogun, who currently plays on loan with Reims in Ligue 1.
It is looking likelier and likelier that Correa will leave Inter this summer.
The former Lazio forward has never been able to settle in and make an impact since joining the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2021. Injuries have played a major role in disrupting the Argentine’s momentum.
Accordingly, the 28-year-old is mooted to depart in the summer, most likely on loan.
As such, a spot is set to be freed up in attack at Inter this summer. And according to the Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri have a replacement in mind to fill it.

The Gazzetta report that young Arsenal striker Balogun is on Inter’s radar for the summer.
The 21-year-old, who recently declared for the US international team, has been in blistering form on loan at Reims this season. He has so far scored twenty goals in Ligue 1.
This has led to a fair bit of transfer interest in the young striker.
The Gazzetta report that all of Monaco, Marseille, and Villarreal are keen on Balogun.
However, the young American won’t come cheap. The Gazzetta report that Arsenal are valuing Balogun at no less than €40 million.
This asking price has already caused RB Leipzig to drop out of the race for Balogun’s signature.
And of course, it will not be straightforward for Inter to meet the Gunners’ price tag for Balogun.
However, the Gazzetta reports, the Nerazzurri still believe there’s a chance.
If Inter are to be serious about trying to sign Balogun, they could make an offer of around €20-25 million, it could be enough to show that their interest is real.
Moreover, the player’s decision could be key. The Gazzetta suggest that, given that Inter are a more prestigious club than the others chasing Balogun, a serious offer to show their willingness to put their faith in him could see Balogun push for the move.
