Italian journalist Niccolo Ceccarini expects that Inter Milan will try to move to sign Guglielmo Vicario to replace Andre Onana if the goalkeeper departs, and are also targeting Noah Okafor as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

Reporting for Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, the journalist named the Empoli and Red Bull Sazlburg players as two Nerazzurri targets.

Inter could have a fair bit of business that needs doing during the summer transfer window.

One thing that looks certain is that the Nerazzurri’s signings will be determined by what their outgoing business looks like.

Inter Milan Line Up Empoli’s Vicario As Possible Onana Replacement

One player who could leave in the summer of goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The Nerazzurri will not be too keen to part with the 27-year-old Cameroonian international. Onana has been absolutely key to the Nerazzurri’s Champions League run this season.

Onana clearly appears to be Inter’s designated successor to Samir Handanovic in goal.

However, Chelsea are keen on the 27-year-old. If the Blues were to come in with a large enough, Inter could decide to accept it.

According to Ceccarini, there is no question who Inter will go after if Onana is to be sold. He reports that the Nerazzurri are laying the groundwork for a move for Empoli keeper Vicario in case Onana is on his way.

Empoli coach Paolo Zanetti has already admitted that Vicario is likely to leave in the summer.

Red Bull Salzburg’s Okafor The Priority If Lukaku Leaves

Ceccarini also names Red Bull Salzburg striker Okafor as a major target in the event that Lukaku were to depart.

It is far from certain that the Belgian will stay past the end of the current season.

If the Nerazzurri don’t agree a new loan deal with Chelsea, then the 30-year-old will leave in the summer.

Accoerding to Ceccarini, Swiss international Okafor will become a major target for Inter in the event that they don’t keep Lukaku.
