Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana has travelled to Cameroon where he has worked in support of a charitable campaign for children.

This according to Cameroonian news outlet Cam Foot, via FCInter1908, who report that the 27-year-old Nerazzurri goalkeeper used his time off to travel to his home country where he worked with his foundation to provide surgeries and medical care for children.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi gave the Nerazzurri squad a couple of days off earlier this week.

The team returned to training yesterday, but the coach felt that the players deserved a rest.

Throughout the months of April and May, Inter have been constantly busy across all competitions. Accordingly, between Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, the Nerazzurri squad were given three days off in which to relax and be with their family.

On Monday, Inter striker Lautaro Martinez also held his wedding ceremony to partner Agustina Gandolfo. Most of the Nerazzurri squad were in attendance for the ceremony and subsequent reception and party.

However, one player who was not at Martinez’s wedding was goalkeeper Onanaw.

Inter Star Andre Onana Travels To Cameroon For Charitable Purposes

Goalkeeper Onana received permission from Inter to travel to his home country during his break.

The purpose of his visit was to do work preparing for a charitable campaign in the country.

Onana has a foundation, in partnership with a Spanish NGO, which works to provide surgeries to children in Cameroon.

Next month, the 27-year-old’s foundation is planning a surgery drive. Between June 17 and 28 at the Nkomkana Sports Medicine Center in Yaounde, the foundation will undertake the surgery drive.

Onana’s visit saw the Cameroonian work with other volunteers from his foundation to get ready for next month’s campaign.
