Finish businessman Thomas Zilliacus has given a coy response to rumours about a possible takeover of Inter Milan from Suning.

Writing in a response to a Nerazzurri fan on his Twitter profile, Zilliacus made little effort to deny the possibility that he is interested in purchasing the club at some point in the near future.

In the last week or so, the name of Zilliacus has emerged as a possible candidate to buy Inter from current owners Suning.

He has joined the likes of Bahrain-based fund InvestCorp and Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani in this sense.

Suning deny that the businessman is trying to purchase the club. However, two sources from Reuters suggest otherwise, telling the news service that negotiations are underway.

Reportedly, a deadline for this round of bidding could be set soon, meaning a sale could happen later in the summer.

Thomas Zilliacus Continues To Take A Coy Approach To Inter Milan Rumours

For someone like Zilliacus, it would be hard to ignore these rumours.

When the initial report regarding his purported attempt to buy Inter came out, the businessman responded coyly on his Twitter. At that time, he stressed not distracting the team in their preparations for the Champions League final.

However, by the same token, Zilliacus in no way denied the rumours.

Now, the Finnish businessman appears to be continuing to take much the same approach.

An Inter fan responded to a picture that Zilliacus posted from Lombardy (the region in which Milano is), “Good morning Mr. President, have a great day.”

The businessman responded coyly, “Very kind of you, and have a great day too! For now I am president of my own company only. Let us all support the real President of the club and hope that he and the team will lift the trophy on Saturday!
