Inter Milan Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello feels that, win or lose, it is great for the team to be in the Champions League final.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri executive gave his thoughts on the final.
A few months ago, Inter will hardly have imagined they’d be at this point in June.
Even getting past a group stage that pitted them against Barcelona and Bayern Munich looked like it would be a huge undertaking for the Nerazzurri.
Then, in the knockout rounds, Inter have needed to overcome the likes of Porto, Benfica, and AC Milan.
However, at each hurdle, the Nerazzurri have risen to the occasion. Now, the team are just one match away from immortalizing themselves.
Of course, the Champions League final against Manchester City will be virtually the most difficult match that Inter face all seasons.
Opposite them are a team who many regard as the very strongest in Europe.
The Cityzens’ blazing path through the knockouts certainly attests to this.
Pep Guardiola’s men have already brushed aside RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid to get here.
However, Inter have earned their place just as much as City have. And, in truth, being here already feels like a triumph.
