Inter Milan have identified Hertha Berlin forward Dodi Lukebakio and Monza wingback Carlos Augusto as major targets to strengthen during the summer transfer window.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the pair are key names as the Nerazzurri start to lay the groundwork for their summer transfer strategy.
Tomorrow, Inter will play in the Champions League final where they’ll have a shot at glory.
However, as soon as that’s out of the way, the team will already have to start planning for next season. This will entail thinking about the summer transfer market.
Inter Milan Keen On Hertha Star Dodi Lukebakio
Inter are ready to move for Hertha forward Lukebakio this summer.
The 25-year-old will almost certainly leave his club during the window after they were relegated to the German second division.
With Joaquin Correa likely to depart from the Nerazzurri, they are looking for an attacking signing. According to the Corriere, Lukebakio is a serious target for Inter in this regard.
The Belgian has scored eleven goals and made two assists in the Bundesliga this season.
In addition, Lukebakio has also scored one goal in the German Cup. He is a full Belgian international and has been capped seven times by the Red Devils.
Monza Breakout Star Carlos Augusto Could Replace Robin Gosens
Meanwhile, 24-year-old Brazilian Carlos Augusto is also on Inter’s radar.
This season has been something of a breakout campaign for Augusto in Serie A. Particularly in attack, he has made a big contribution to Monza being one of the surprise packages in the Italian top flight.
The 24-year-old scored six goals and made five assists over the course of the campaign.
According to the Corriere, Inter have made Augusto a serious target.
However, for the Nerazzurri to move for Augusto, Robin Gosens would first have to depart.
Gosens has been the subject of transfer rumours ever since last summer.
The former Atalanta man is reportedly a target for all of Wolfsburg, Borussia Monchengladbach, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
Whilst Gosens has gotten a foothold in the team in recent weeks, he is not first-choice ahead of Dimarco.
