Inter Milan linked Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi declares that he wants his next move to be within Serie A.

Speaking in a press conference with the Italian national team, ass reported by FCInterNews, the 23-year-old also admitted that he models his game off of Nerazzurri striker Nicolo Barella.

Frattesi is reportedly a major target for Inter this summer.

Recent reports suggest that the Neroverdi man is a player who the Nerazzurri are ready to push for. At the age of 23, he is a player who could strengthen in midfield in the longer term as well as more immediately.

Frattesi is at a similar stage in his development to where Barella was when Inter signed the midfielder from Cagliari.

Barella had joined one of the Italian top flight’s biggest clubs despite offers from the Premier League. According to Frattesi himself, that is also what he sees himself doing.

Inter are not the only big Italian team interested in Frattesi, however. Juventus and Roma are also reportedly keen.

Inter Target Frattesi Doesn’t Want To Leave Serie A Yet

Asked if he sees himself leaving Serie A to move to a team in a different league, or staying within Italian football, Frattesi replied that “In my career, I’ve always moved forward one step at a time.”

“At least in my mind, you have to make another move to an Italian team first before going off.”

“I’m convinced that sooner or later I’ll move elsewhere,” he reflected. “But I have to be ready to do so.”

And asked if he has any role models that he bases his style of play around, Frattesi replied that “I have one [in the national team], and it’s Barella.”

“He’s the best player in Italy in terms how how I want to play.”

Frattesi noted that “I have the opportunity to study him closely here, and he’s certainly a source of inspiration for me, also because he makes assists.”
