Inter have held a meeting with the agents of Spezia wingback Emil Holm, who could replace Denzel Dumfries this summer.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the agents of the 23-year-old Sweden international were in Milan where they visited the Nerazzurri’s headquarters to discuss a possible transfer for next season.
Inter are on the lookout for potential signings in the wide positions for next season.
On the right, Denzel Dumfries could leave if the right offer comes along. Should the Dutchman be on his way, the Nerazzurri will go in search of a like-for-like replacement.
The profile that Inter are seeking would be a similar one to Dumfries – a tall, physically strong player with the stamina to get up and down the pitch.
Spezia wingback Holm would represent a player with suitable characteristics in this sense. Moreover, the Swede has extensive experience in Serie A, where he’s shone with Spezia.
Inter Hold Talks With Agents Of Spezia Star Emil Holm
Holm has been one of Spezia’s outstanding performers throughout the season.
However, in spite of the Swede’s excellent campaign, the Ligurians have suffered relegation to Serie B.
A dramatic relegation playoff loss to Hellas Verona condemned them to dropping down from the top flight.
Accordingly, Holm will seek a new club for next season. The Swede has established himself as a Serie A-quality player, and is unlikely to stick around with Spezia in the second division.
Accordingly, Holm’s agents are looking for a potential destination for the 23-year-old for next season.
To this end, they have established initial contact with Inter. As of yet, however, there are no reports of the talks advancing particularly far.
During the season just gone, Holm made twenty appearances for Spezia in Serie A. He racked up a goal and and assist in the league.
