Torino are ready to go head-to-head with Inter Milan to try and sign wingback Raoul Bellanova from Cagliari this summer.

This according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the 22-year-old will make a decision on his future after playing at the Under-21 World Cup with Italy this summer.

At the moment, Bellanova’s future at Inter looks up in the air.

The wingback joined the Nerazzurri on a €3 million paid loan deal last summer. Inter have a purchase option to sign the Italian youth international on a permanent basis for €7 million.

Whilst the Nerazzurri are not keen to pay that full amount for Bellanova, they’d still like to bring him back for a discounted fee.

Torino Join Inter Milan In Race To Sign Raoul Bellanova

According to TMW, Inter have made their initial offer to Cagliari. The Nerazzurri want to sign Bellanova on another loan deal, but with conditions to trigger that loan to become a permanent move which would be fairly easy to trigger.

Inter should not have too difficult a time convincing the Rossoblu to make a deal for the 22-year-old.

However, the Nerazzurri could well be outbid by Torino.

The Granata are big fans of Bellanova. The wingback would fit in very well with the style of play under Torino coach Ivan Juric.

Moreover, Torino would likely be able to offer Bellanova more playing time.

Whilst the 22-year-old has had a few moments to shine in his first season at Inter, he has hardly been a regular in the starting eleven. Even if Denzel Dumfries were to be sold, Bellanova could still struggle to get a look in next season as well.

The decision could fall to the player concerned.

Bellanova is currently on international duty the Italy Under-21 national team. The Azzurri are engaged at the Under-21 World Cup.

However, whenever he finishes up with the tournament, Bellanova can make a decision about his club future.
