Inter Milan striker Edin Dzeko has decided that he’s ready to leave the Nerazzurri to join Fenerbahce on a free transfer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Dzeko’s current contract with Inter runs out at the end of this month.

The Nerazzurri have offered the Bosnian international a new deal to stay another season. However, Inter’s offer is only for a one-season extension.

Reportedly Dzeko is not convinced by the Nerazzurri’s offer of a new one-year deal. He feels that the club no longer see him as a central part of the project.

The Bosnian has decided that he wants a move away from the Nerazzurri to join a club where he’s more central to the project.

Edin Dzeko Close To Leaving Inter Milan To Join Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce are pushing to sign Inter striker Dzeko on a free transfer.

The Istanbul-based team have made a two-year contract offer to Dzeko. Reportedly that the striker will earn around €5 million net per season if he signs with the Turkish side.

That is more than Inter are offering, particularly considering that the Turkish team are offering a two-year deal. The Nerazzurri are only willing to extend the former Roma and Man City star’s contract by one season.

Fenerbahce want to make Dzeko a key signing in attack for next season, as they aim to dethrone Galatasaray for the Turkish title.

And for his part, the Nerazzurri striker appears convinced by Fenerbahce’s offer and the place he would have in their project.

Dzeko has seen Fenerbahce’s proposal, and he is convinced. The 37-year-old is ready to sign his two-year deal with the Turkish club.

The Corriere note that Dzeko’s agent Alessandro Lucci met with Fenerbahce yesterday. The agent worked towards finishing up the final details on a contract.

There is a bit more that Lucci and Fenerbahce need to discuss. However, it is at the stage of the final details. The Bosnian will leave Inter and sign for Fenerbahce on a free transfer.
