Torino will meet with Cagliari today to try and sign Raoul Bellanova now that the 22-year-old’s Inter loan is expiring.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Granata will offer €7 million plus €2 million in add-ons to snatch Bellanova away from the Nerazzurri.

Inter aren’t keen to pay the €7 million purchase option in the loan deal for Bellanova.

They would still like to bring him back next season, but for a discounted fee. The Nerazzurri have made this clear to Cagliari.

As such, Inter will have to negotiate a deal with the Rossoblu if they’re to sign Bellanova on a permanent basis.

Reports have suggested that the clubs could do so. However, Torino are aiming to swoop in and sign Bellanova.

Torino Want To Sign Raoul Bellanova Ahead Of Inter

Tuttosport report that Torino have scheduled a meeting with Cagliari today.

They will offer the Rossoblu €7 million for Bellanova, plus €2 million in add-ons, if Inter don’t sign the player permanently by exercising the purchase option in his loan deal.

Accordingly, the ball would then be in Inter’s court.

The Nerazzurri could still decide to sign Bellanova permanently.

However, with a superior offer on the table from Torino, Cagliari will have little reason to accept a sale at a discounted fee.

Now, Inter’s response is awaited, and everything could still be in their hands. However, Torino aren’t waiting around. They want to iron out an agreement with Cagliari as early as today.

Bellanova A Perfect Fit For Torino’s 3-5-2 Formation

Bellanova joined Inter to play as a wingback in Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 system.

The young wingback has been used here and there. However, he has hardly been a regular in the starting eleven.

Torino, by contrast, could offer Bellanova a regular starting place.

Moreover, like Inzaghi, Granata coach Ivan Juric plays a 3-5-2 formation with wingbacks.
