Inter Milan striker Edin Dzeko still hasn’t finalized an agreement to join Fenerbahce on a free transfer this summer.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the 37-year-old’s agent will hold another meeting with the Turkish giants in the next few days to try and wrap up the move once and for all.

Fenerbahce are pushing to sign Inter striker Dzeko on a free transfer.

The Istanbul-based team have made a two-year contract offer to Dzeko. Reportedly that the striker will earn around €4 million net per season plus add-ons if he signs with the Turkish side. He will also earn a substantial sign-on bonus.

That is more than Inter are offering, particularly considering that the Turkish team are offering a two-year deal. The Nerazzurri are only willing to extend the former Roma and Man City star’s contract by one season.

Fenerbahce want to make Dzeko a key signing in attack for next season, as they aim to dethrone Galatasaray for the Turkish title.

And for his part, the Nerazzurri striker appears convinced by Fenerbahce’s offer and the place he would have in their project.

Dzeko’s agent Alessandro Lucci has held talks with the Istanbul giants.

Di Marzio: Edin Dzeko Yet To Reach Full Agreement To Join Fenerbahce From Inter Milan

According to Di Marzio, however, the talks between Lucci and Fenerbahce have not yet led to the final agreement.

As things stand, Dzeko is not quite ready to put pen to paper on a new deal.

The Bosnian knows what he wants to do. He intends to leave Inter when his contract expires and sign for Fenerbahce.

However, Di Marzio reports, at least one more round of talks is required for that to actually happen.

Dzeko has made 101 appearances for Inter since joining from Roma in the summer of 2021. He has scored 31 goals for the club.
