Inter Milan striker Edin Dzeko is set to arrive in Istanbul tonight, where he will sign his contract with Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

This according to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet, via FCInterNews, who report that the green light is there for the 37-year-old to become a Fenerbahce player in the next few hours.

Fenerbahce have been working to sign Dzeko over the past few weeks.

The Bosnian’s contract with Inter runs out at the end of this month. He is ready to reject the Nerazzurri’s offer of a one-year extension, and can leave on a free transfer.

Fenerbahce. have made a two-year contract offer to Dzeko. Reportedly that the striker will earn around €4 million net plus add-ons, and a substantial sign-on bonus.

That is more than Inter are offering, particularly considering that the Turkish team are offering a two-year deal. The Nerazzurri are only willing to extend the former Roma and Man City star’s contract by one season.

Edin Dzeko To Sign With Fenerbahce Imminently

Dzeko’s agent Alessandro Lucci has been in talks with Fenerbahce for the past few days.

The agent has been working towards finishing up the final details on a contract for the striker.

According to Hurriyet, everything is now complete. There are no more negotiations required, and Dzeko is ready to sign his contract.

The newspaper report that Dzeko is currently on vacation with his family in the Turkish resort town of Marimaris. However, he is preparing to travel to Istanbul later today.

Once there, everything will be ready for the Bosnian to sign his new contract with Fenerbahce.

He will leave Inter after having joined from Roma in the summer of 2021.

Dzeko has made 101 appearances for Inter over the past two seasons. He scored 31 goals in a Nerazzurri shirt.

The Bosnian’s final match for Inter came in the Champions League final against his old club Manchester City, which he started.
