Barcelona are not ready to give up on trying to sign Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, though Al-Nassr are getting closer.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reported on air moments ago via FCInterNews that the Blaugranas are still going to make an attempt to sign the Croat, but that Al-Nassr are prepared to offer €22 million.

One way or the other, it looks virtually certain that Brozovic will leave Inter this summer.

Only a few months ago Brozovic being sold would’ve seemed unthinkable. However, the midfielder’s situation at Inter has changed.

The Croat has missed long spells with injuries in the season just gone. Whilst he was out, Hakan Calhanoglu has emerged as a starting-quality option in his position.

Moreover, a rift has reportedly formed between Brozovic and Inter. Management of the midfielder’s injuries are reportedly central to the reason for this.

As such, Inter would be ready to cash in on Brozovic. They are now waiting for the right offer arrive, with two clubs pushing to try and sign the 30-year-old.

Barcelona Not Giving Up On Marcelo Brozovic Despite Al-Nassr Pushing

Barcelona have been keen on Brozovic for some time.

Inter and Barcelona had already reportedly discussed a prospective swap between Brozovic and former AC Milan and Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie in January.

Those talks never came to anything. However, the Blaugranas’ interest in signing Brozovic hardly went away.

Barcelona have already reportedly made one major midfield signing for next season – Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan. According to Pedulla, they want to follow it up by bringing Brozovic to the Camp Nou.

However, at the same time, Brozovic also has a massive money offer from Al-Nassr to consider.

The Saudi Pro League club seem to be getting closer to Inter’s €25 million asking price for Brozovic by the hour.

Brozovic could earn huge wages if he signs a three-year contract with Al-Nassr. On the other hand, La Liga champions Barcelona could offer the player an enticing European project.

Both clubs are working to convince Inter – and Brozovic, who is still assessing his options.
