Edin Dzeko sent a heartfelt farewell message to Inter Milan after landing in Istanbul ahead of an imminent transfer to Fenerbahce.

The 37-year-old joined the Nerazzurri in 2021 as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku who made a mega-money switch to Chelsea at the time.

The aging striker served the club admirably and even maintained his starting berth following the Belgian’s return last summer.

Nevertheless, the two parties decided to part ways following two successful seasons together. Although the Bosnian didn’t lift the Scudetto title during his time at Appiano Gentile, he won the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup in each of the two campaigns.

As we reported earlier today, Fenerbahce announced the arrival of the veteran striker to complete his medical tests ahead of the final signatures.

Therefore, Edin Dzeko took the opportunity to thank Inter Milan and their supporters for two wonderful years.

“Ciao Pazza Inter, it’s been two wonderful years,” posted the former Man City and Roma bomber on his personal Instagram account.

“They were wonderful on the pitch, with the coach and my teammates and wonderful in the stands. San Siro is always full with incredible support for a team capable of reaching the final in every competition.

“I scored . I dreamed. We dreamed, covered kilometers and won four cups. It was a wonderful journey.

“Now we are separating, but thanks for everything. Good luck for the future! Forza Inter”
