Marcus Thuram will complete his medicals and sign his contract ahead of joining Inter Milan on Tuesday.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the 25-year-old will be in Milan early next week where he will finish up with all the final formalities before signing his contract and officially becoming a Nerazzurri player for the start of next season.

Barring late surprises, Inter have won the race to sign Thuram.

Inter’s pursuit of Gladbach striker Thuram has been a long and winding one.

The Nerazzurri had reportedly been very close to signing the Frenchman already in 2021. However, a knee injury to the player prompted them to move on to other targets, signing Joaquin Correa from Lazio instead.

However, Thuram’s availability on a free transfer this summer reignited their interest.

Now, the Nerazzurri are all but finished with the signing of Thuram.

Reportedly the Frenchman, who appeared as a substitute in the World Cup final for Les Bleus, has already been in contact with Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi.

Thuram is a big fan of Inter’s tactical setup. He has spoken with Inzaghi over the phone about what his role will be in a 3-5-2 system.

Tuesday Is “Marcus Thuram Day” Ahead Of Big Move To Inter Milan

Thuram is not yet an Inter player however, at least officially.

The 25-year-old has reportedly made up his mind, but will have to finalize the deal.

Tuesday, Calciomercato report, is the day when everything will be done and made official. Thuram will travel to Milan to undergo his medical exams and complete the last formalities.

The contracts are all ready to be signed, and then the Frenchman will make it official. He will sign as an Inter player for next season and then the club will make the announcement.

Next up for Thuram, the striker will return to Milan for July 13. That is when the entire Nerazzurri squad is set to convene to start their preseason.

He will join his new teammates at the Inter training centre to truly begin preparing for life as a Nerazzurri player.
