Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta confirms receiving an offer from Al-Nassr for Marcelo Brozovic. He says it’s now up to the player to decide his future.
In what has escalated into a chaotic soap opera, the Croatian star’s future remain in the balance.
The latter has finally decided to accept the offer from the Saudi Pro League club after giving up on his Barcelona dream.
But afterwards, Al-Nassr decided to lower the offered transfer fee, much to the dismay of the Nerazzurri.
Nevertheless, the two clubs are still seeking a solution that can put the transfer over the line.
Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta Put The Ball In The Court Of Marcelo Brozovic Who Must Make The Final Decision On The Al-Nassr Transfer
For his part, Inter CEO Marotta confirms that the club has indeed received an offer from Al-Nassr, but says it’s up to Brozovic to decide whether he wants to make the switch to the Middle East or not.
“It’s clear that an offer has arrived,” admitted the Inter executive during the opening ceremony of the Serie A summer transfer market in Rimini (via FcInterNews).
“I can say that it’s not the club that decides. It’s always the player.”
On another note, Marotta aimed a dig at Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali. The latter said that Inter and Roma must improve their bids for Davide Frattesi.
Therefore, the Inter CEO notes that the Italian midfielder’s price continues to rise even though the Emilians are yet to receive all offers.
“Giovanni is a good and skillful director. He knows how to navigate the market. He hasn’t received all the offers yet [for Frattesi], but the price continues to rise!”
