Inter Milan could still complete a deal to sell midfielder Marcelo Brozovic to Al-Nassr despite a major road bump in negotiations yesterday.

This according to today’s print edition of Roma-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Yesterday, negotiations between Inter, Al-Nassr, and Brozovic took a fiery turn.

Al-Nassr lowered their offer for the player from €23 million to €13 million. Having seemingly gotten the deal to the final stages, the Saudi Pro League club tried to make the deal at a massive discount.

Then, Brozovic himself asked Inter for a severance payment in order to leave. The Nerazzurri were furious with these developments.

Inter made clear that they were ready to close the door permanently to Al-Nassr, enraged by the lower offer.

However, the Corriere, things are now calming down.

The two clubs are still hoping to work together to find an agreement. They are ready to try and get back to an agreement on a deal.

Inter Could Still Sell Brozovic To Al-Nassr & Sign Frattesi

In the meantime, Brozovic’s future could be decisive for Inter’s move to sign Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi.

The Nerazzurri’s plan has been to sell Brozovic and use the fee from a deal to reinvest in a move for Frattesi. This has, however, been unexpectedly held up by the amount of time it is now taking to sell Brozovic.

As such, the Corriere report, the Nerazzurri’s pursuit of Frattesi is now on standby.

After having hoped to have a deal wrapped up to sell Brozovic so they could shake hands with Sassuolo on a deal for Frattesi as soon as yesterday, Inter are still waiting.

Al-Nassr are still keen to sign Brozovic. And for their part, the Nerazzurri are still working to bring in a fee for the Croatian international to trigger a move for Frattesi.

The two clubs are now working to try and negotiate a deal, and the atmosphere is more calm. Both are motivated to get it done.
