Inter Milan and AC Milan are ready to go head-to-head to try and sign Torino wingback Wilfried Singo this summer.

This according to Italian news outlet Repubblica.it, who report that the Rossoneri are already in contact with the Ivorian international’s representatives whilst the Nerazzurri are also keen, and that Torino want at least €15 million for his signature.

Singo is a player who’s been on Inter’s radar for some time now.

The Granata wingback has been a player they’ve identified as a prospective replacement for Denzel Dumfries for a couple transfer window. However, the Dutchman has always stayed put to date and so there was no need to pursue a replacement.

However, the departure of Raoul Bellanova changes things.

The 22-year-old will not be returning to Inter next season. Torino have snapped him up after his loan spell with the Nerazzurri expired, and they declined to exercise a purchase option.

However, Inter could bring a player right back from the Granata.

La Repubblica report that the Nerazzurri are keen to make a new wingback available to coach Simone Inzaghi after losing out on Bellanova.

Singo, they report, is the player who Inter want. However, the Nerazzurri are not keen on paying the entire €15 million price tag for the Ivorian.

Inter Milan Join AC Milan In The Hunt For Singo

One club who have already been laying the groundwork for a Singo move this summer is Inter’s city rivals Milan.

La Repubblica report that the Rossoneri are already in contact with the player’s representatives.

Milan are looking to sign a new right-sided fullback following the departure of Sergino Dest who they declined to sign permanently from Barcelona.

Milan are serious about trying to sign Singo. But so, it seems, are Inter, potentially leading to another “market derby” after the Nerazzurri won the race to sign Marcus Thuram.

Singo has made a total of 108 appearances for Torino. 35 of those came last season.
