Inter Milan bound defender Yann Bisseck feels that at the age of 22 he has plenty of room to grow in the coming years.

Speaking to German news outlet Bild, via FCInter1908, the German international gave his thoughts ahead of his upcoming transfer from Aarhus to join the Nerazzurri.

Barring any big late surprises, Bisseck will join Inter soon.

The German Under-21 international is currently occupied with his national team at the Under-21 Euros. However, once that concludes he should immediately complete his move to the Nerazzurri.

Despite his age, Bisseck is not just a young prospect who Inter are betting on for the future.

He will not be a player for the Nerazzurri’s youth team. Inter by all accounts intend to give Bisseck the chance to make his mark in the first team.

Obviously, the step up from a team like Aarhus to Champions League finalists will be a big one.

However, for his part Bisseck is looking forward to the move and to what it represents. He believes that he already has the talent and the potential for improvement to make the move a success.

Yann Bisseck Opens Up On Inter Milan Move

Bisseck admitted that “It’s a bit strange.”

“In the past transfer windows I always asked myself, is there a good option for me?” the German continued. “Now it’s the other side of the coin, and everyone is saying: Wow! What a great season.”

“Now you’re spoiled for choice and you can go and enjoy yourself.”

“But you can’t lose your head,” Bisseck continued. “The next step is very important for me.”

He noted that “There’s always competition at the level I want to be at.”

“I know both the good and bad side of that.”

“But I’m sure of myself,” Bisseck added. “Once I get used to a team, I can establish myself anywhere.”

The 22-year-old made clear that “I have potential, but I can still improve.”

Of Inter putting their faith in him, Bisseck said that “Inter’s directors know what they’re doing. They’ve been doing their jobs for a long time.”

“And they’ve watched my matches and they must’ve seen something in me,” he added of the Nerazzurri.

“They’ve obviously watched a lot of top-level players,” Bisseck said. “If you look at where I am, it gives me reason to believe in myself.”

“I believe in my talent, I know what I’m capable of,” he added.
