Inter Milan will bring in a fee of €17.5 million for the sale of midfielder Marcelo Brozovic to Al-Nassr, potentially rising to €20 million with add-ons.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Barring any big late twists, Brozovic will leave Inter and become an Al-Nassr player soon.

Yesterday, a whirlwind week of negotiations ended with Inter agreeing a fee with the Saudi Pro League club to sell the Croat.

It was a far-from-predictable process.

First, it had seemed that the Saudi Pro League had sealed a transfer for the 30-year-old. They made an offer of €23 million which Inter accepted. The player himself also seemed ready to accept their big money offer.

However, then Brozovic decided not to immediately accept Al-Nassr’s deal.

The interest of Barcelona continued to tempt the Croatian international. He wanted to wait, whilst Inter and Al-Nassr pushed to make a deal happen.

Then, Brozovic relented – he gave the all-clear for the move to happen.

However, with the player’s all-important green light secured, Al-Nassr then slashed their offer for him to Inter. The Nerazzurri were reportedly furious at this new offer of €13 million and slammed the door.

Another further unwelcome development came in the form of the player asking for severance pay from Inter.

Inter Milan Could Earn As Much As €20M From Sale Of Marcelo Brozovic To Al-Nassr

When negotiations restarted yesterday, Inter were unable to get Al-Nassr back to their original €23 million offer.

According to the Corriere, the Nerazzurri eventually accepted an offer of a fixed rate of €17.5 million. This could rise to €20 million with the inclusion of add-ons.

Meanwhile, the player is set for a big payday in the Saudi Pro League.

The Corriere report that Brozovic will earn around €24 million net per season on his contract with Al-Nassr.
