Marcelo Brozovic has signed his contract with Al-Nassr, leaving Inter Milan after eight and a half years.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the 30-year-old has already undergone his medical and signed his new deal with the Saudi Pro League, with only the official announcement yet to be made.

There has never been a dull moment in the last week or so of negotiations between Inter, Al-Nassr, and Brozovic.

First, it had seemed that the Saudi Pro League had sealed a transfer for the 30-year-old. They made an offer of €23 million which Inter accepted. The player himself also seemed ready to accept their big money offer.

However, then Brozovic decided not to immediately accept Al-Nassr’s deal.

The interest of Barcelona continued to tempt the Croatian international. He wanted to wait, whilst Inter and Al-Nassr pushed to make a deal happen.

Then, Brozovic relented – he gave the all-clear for the move to happen.

However, with the player’s all-important green light secured, Al-Nassr then slashed their offer for him to Inter. The Nerazzurri were reportedly furious at this new offer of €13 million and slammed the door.

Another further unwelcome development came in the form of the player asking for severance pay from Inter.

However, the clubs eventually came to an agreement.

Reportedly, the Nerazzurri have accepted a fee of around €18 million.

Over the past couple days, Al-Nassr have put the final touches on the move. Di Marzio reports that Brozovic has already undergone his medical exams on the move in Paris.

And today, Di Marzio updates, the Croat has put pen to paper. He will be an Al-Nassr player next season.

No official announcement has yet been made, but it’s forthcoming.

Brozovic leaves Inter after making 330 appearances in all competitions following his arrival from Dinamo Zagreb in January of 2015. His last match for the club was the Champions League final against Manchester City.
