Man United are edging towards signing goalkeeper Andre Onana as Inter Milan line up Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin as his replacement.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri and the Red Devils could agree a deal for Onana sometime early next week.

Manchester United have now made their second offer to Inter for Onana.

After having a bid worth €45 million including add-ons turned down, the Premier League giants have returned right away with a new offer.

According to the Gazzetta, the total value of United’s new offer is €50 million. This includes all add-ons.

For their part, Inter still don’t consider this high enough.

However, United’s offer is no longer too far away from what Inter are asking. The Nerazzurri are reportedly holding out for €60 million, but could soften their stance if the Premier League side’s offer rises much higher.

Man United Getting Closer To Onana As Inter Ready To Move For Trubin

According to Sky, a bid of €55 million from United could be the magic number.

If the English giants put that much on the plate, including all add-ons, then it would likely be enough to see Inter sell Onana.

Sky report that all parties feel optimistic that a deal will happen. And that it will be sooner rather than later based on the tempo of negotiations so far.

According to Sky, Onana could complete the transfer some time early next week.

And then, Sky report, Inter won’t waste any time in moving for the Cameroonian’s replacement.

The Nerazzurri are in talks with Shakhtar Donetsk as well as the agent of 21-year-old Ukraine international Anatoliy Trubin.

They see Trubin as an ideal replacement for Onana.

The Ukrainian will cost around €10 million. Inter would be ready to quickly wrap up a deal for Trubin once Onana is out the door.
