New Inter Milan signing Davide Frattesi names ex-goalkeeper Julio Cesar as his favorite Nerazzurri legend.

The 23-year-old completed his much-anticipated transfer from Sassuolo to the Beneamata on Thursday.

The Italy international joins the Nerazzurri on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

After joining the club, Frattesi sat down for a quick Q&A with Inter’s social media team.

The interviewer asked the player about his favorite Inter Milan legend, and the answer was somewhat surprising, as you wouldn’t expect a midfielder to pick a goalkeeper. Yet, Frattesi identified Julio Cesar as his most beloved Inter Milan star.

“I say Julio Cesar. Back then, I was obsessed with goalkeepers,” revealed the new Inter signing as published by FcInter1908.

The Brazilian was a stalwart between the sticks for the Nerazzurri between 2005 and 2012.

He was also one of the immortal heroes who led the club towards the famous treble in the 2009/10 campaign under the guidance of José Mourinho.

On another note, Frattesi picked his most recent goal as his favorite thus far in his young career.

“The last one is my favorite, the one I scored against the Netherlands in the Nations League.”

The midfielder bagged a goal in Italy’s 3-2 win over the Dutch as the Azzurri sealed the third place in the tournament.

Finally, the Roman named Tennis icon Roger Federer as his favorite sportsman.
