Inter Milan reportedly have an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin over personal terms. He’s the favorite to replace André Onana.

The Cameroonian will probably make the switch to Man United this summer. The two clubs have been engaged in stern negotiations over the last few days.

So according to FcInterNews, the Nerazzurri have identified the Ukrainian as the ideal replacement for the former Ajax man.

The source claims that the Italian giants have already reached an agreement in principle with the goalkeeper’s entourage.

Trubin would sign a five-year contract with Inter with a salary of 1.8 million euro per season. Nevertheless, the Serie A club is still negotiating a transfer fee with Shakhtar Donetsk.

As the source reveals, the Beneamata are hoping to snap up the custodian’s services for 10 million euros. Inter are pouncing on Trubin’s expiring contract in 2024 to drive the price down.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian club is holding out for 15 million euros. The two sides could reach a compromise that includes bonuses and a percentage from a possible resale.

But if Inter fail in their attempts to sign Trubin, Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi would be the alternative. The 22-year-old returned to Bergamo following a lengthy loan spell at Cremonese.

But as the source explains, the Nerazzurri prefer Trubin over the Italy U21 starlet for economical reasons.

For instance, Inter would benefit from the Growth Decree (applicable when signing players from abroad) to save 50% on taxes related to Trubin’s wages.
