Inter Milan have scheduled their traditional friendly against Swiss Super League side Lugano to begin their preseason.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the match will take place on July 18, and that the teams will play behind closed doors.

Inter are starting to gear up for their preseason preparations.

The team get back to training in just under a week. The squad will convene at the Nerazzurri’s training centre on Wednesday, July 13 to start getting back into condition for the upcoming season.

Then, Inter will depart for their preseason tour of Japan. The team leave on the 23rd for the country.

There, the Nerazzurri will play two friendly matches.

The first will be against Al-Nassr on July 27th. There they could face off against recently-departed midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, in addition to Cristiano Ronaldo and others.

Then, Inter will face French champions Paris Saint-Germain on August 1st. That match could pit the Nerazzurri against defender Milan Skriniar after he left the San Siro on a free transfer.

Before any of that, however, Inter will play their traditional first friendly match of the preseason against Swiss Super League side Lugano.

This has been the match with which the Nerazzurri have kicked off their preseason for some time now.

The match will take place at Inter’s training centre in a little over a week’s time. According to the Gazzetta, the teams will play behind closed doors in a mixed training session.

June 18 is the date for the Nerazzurri’s preseason to kick off in earnest.

This will give Inter time to prepare for their departure for Japan on the 23rd.

It will also be sufficient time for Lugano before the beginning of their league season on the 26th.
